A three-year obsession (2008-2011) of mine that resulted in several transcriptions, concerts, research, and one original composition. The bands who are heard here were made up of over 20 musicians collectively, and also included performances of Greek and Pakistani brass band music.
Thanks to Dave Harris for introducing much of this music to me, and to Peter Doolan who shared many other tapes, and information about the music he learned from his visits to Thailand. The last track, "Khaek Choen Chao" is from one of his tapes.
